We believe that youth should experience the joy of the holidays through the receipt of a gift that they have wished for.
I came to Legacy Alliance Outreach almost a year ago. When I first came it was because of my child who had ran away from home. I reach out to Michael Baldwin for help and from that moment when I asked him for help, Michael Baldwin sprung into action and along with his staff, to help find my daughter. After they have brought my daughter home, the help didn't stop there. That time I met Michael I was addicted to drugs and on the path of destruction, but now I am sober and have been clean for about 7 months. I also have a job with Legacy Alliance Outreach as a clothing closet coordinator. My relationship with my child is so much better and healthier. I've become a better person and make healthy choices for my daughter and myself because all of love and support that has been shown to me. I'm so grateful for Legacy Alliance Outreach for all they have done for my family and I.

My name is Arturo Antonio Ascencio and I was rescued by this program from a life of homelessness, poverty, and drug addiction. I was missing my teeth because of my addiction to meth, and I hadn’t had a bath or shower in over three weeks. I had no I.D., social security card, or birth certificate. Now, I have new teeth, collected all my documents, and I have been clean since July 13th of 2023. I even have a job and just got a Harley Davidson motorcycle. This program even helped me quit smoking and showed how having a faith in God can move my life in a positive direction. I give thanks to Legacy Alliance, God, and Michael Baldwin. I am eternally grateful for everything.

Legacy Alliance took me in when I had nowhere to go. Everyone had their backs turned then Michael and his team welcomed me with open arms one week ago. I am at a stage of my life where I am reflecting and moving forward to a better future. I am surrounded by inspiration and opportunity to improve every aspect of my life. Legacy Alliance has provided the tools, motivation, and guidance needed to do so. I know we're just getting started, but we are on the fast track to building a better future.

I am apart of the Legacy Alliance Outreach organization, but before I met them I was struggling with substance abuse, fighting, and depression. I was lost and alone in life until one day I met Michael Baldwin at my middle school called Marktwain. He started helping even though at first I pushed him away, but he always tried to help until one day I opened up and let him in. I started going to programs that they provided and it was leading me in the right path. I eventually started to stay clean and then I started to help other peers that are like me with things they were going through. As I started to help other peers, Michael has put me in a position that I am now a Youth Director and on the Board for Legacy Alliance Youth Program. Now, I am in a much better place and I know that everything will be just fine with the faith in the Lord.

This place is amazing. I was referred here by my uncle, thinking it was a regular staffing agency where I could make a little money to order my transcripts and make ends meet. The first question albeit held in confidence were, "What was my release date and drug of choice." I then asked if this was a staffing agency and if having one of these issues a prerequisite. I was told, "No." But I would be hard to place but not impossible as I did not fit their standard employee profile. This company have done nothing but help me. This has been a perfect seaway to help me gain confidence and they give me a connection to MJC, which is where I want to teach. Working for them I have been able to order my transcripts, work, and learn from the organization itself. It's just the beginning! Great place and great cause.
